At Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, we had the pleasure of planning and designing a breathtaking wedding for Jessie, a talented New York interior designer, and Michael, a successful managing acquisitions director. Inspired by the charm of a Sicilian farmhouse, their vision came to life in a truly unforgettable celebration. Join us as we delve into the exquisite details of their special day.

Jessie’s keen eye for design and her passion for interiors played a pivotal role in shaping the concept for their Vizcaya museum wedding. Drawing inspiration from the rustic elegance of a Sicilian farmhouse, she envisioned a celebration filled with warmth, authenticity, and old-world charm. The goal was to transport their 200 guests to a place of rustic serenity, where every detail would reflect the essence of their love story.

To set the tone for the evening, the couple wanted to create a unique experience for their guests. We incorporated a vintage-style hotel keeper who handed out personalized keys to guests, with each key bearing their table assignment. This thoughtful and creative touch added an element of intrigue and excitement as guests navigated their way through the reception area.

The décor was carefully curated to bring the essence of a Sicilian farmhouse to life. The reception area was adorned with rustic wooden tables, elegantly draped in natural linen tablecloths. Each table featured centerpieces consisting of pears and almonds on pedestals, delicate flowers, and vintage candle holders, creating an intimate and romantic ambiance. The color palette showcased earthy tones of olive green, soft whites, and muted gold accents, perfectly complementing the setting. We suspended garlands of green foliage and disco balls in various sizes on the dance floor to bring a festive atmosphere and a shimmering glow throughout the tent.

No celebration would be complete without a culinary experience to match. The couple collaborated with a renowned catering team, Chef IP (Chef Isaac Perlman) to create a menu that paid homage to the authentic Mediterranean flavors. From an Italian station filled with cured meats, artisanal cheeses, and marinated vegetables to a mouthwatering array of classic Sicilian dishes, every bite was a journey through the region’s gastronomic delights. Guests were treated to an unforgettable culinary experience that celebrated the couple’s shared love for exquisite flavors.

Jessie and Michael’s Vizcaya museum wedding was a true testament to their impeccable taste and attention to detail. From the vintage key concept to the rustic décor and mouthwatering cuisine, every element came together seamlessly, creating an unforgettable celebration of their love. It was an honor to be a part of their special day and bring their vision to life at this remarkable venue.
